Weapons and Technology

Chinese weapons included the crossbow (弩), first developed in the Warring States period and capable of penetrating armor at distance; the ji (戟), a halberd combining spear and axe; and the dao (刀), a curved single-edged sword that became the standard Chinese sword from the Han Dynasty onward.
